About 2PRAISE

Jeremiah Savage and Nathanael Vossler have for many years shared both a deep love for God and a joy of singing. During their teenage years they formed a group with 3 other friends that was officially named "Victory" though more frequently referred to as simply "The Quintet." Many a nursing home, church, service, and homeschool event were blessed by their desire to praise God in song.

One afternoon Jeremiah and Nathanael were experimenting with audio recording and vocal dubbing. Having already written and arranged music for his church choir, Jeremiah decided to write a few songs just for Nathanael and himself to sing. Using Nathanael's brother's recording studio they began to put together a CD for themselves.

During that time neither of them imagined that their keepsake CD would grow into a project available for purchase and become a blessing not only to themselves, but also in the lives of many others.

It is their desire and prayer that you are moved closer to the Lord through their songs.

Jeremiah Savage

Born to American parents in the little town of Canmore, Alberta, Canada, Jeremiah (or Jeremy as he is called by most) became an instant dual citizen of both the United States and Canada. He and his two younger brothers enjoyed to the fullest capacity all that boyhood in the Canadian Rockies had to offer. It was during this time, and after 3 years in the public school system, that with his family he became the first homeschooler in the area.

In November of 1991 the Savage family left the snowy peaks of Kananskis Country and settled in Renton, Washington. They quickly connected with other homeschooling families in their area and after a few years became members of Trinity Baptist Church in Renton. God would use this time to deepen Jeremy's commitment to Him.

Jeremy participated in as many musical things during his high school years. He performed in a musical with his home school group, sang in the church choir, and participated in his own little quintet. After high school he served with a Christian disaster relief organization called ALERT. As a part of his service he was able to sing in their men's choir. His participation in this choir included recording a Christmas CD and singing at the White House.

Beyond his love of music, Jeremy's greatest love is the Lord Jesus Christ. God has made it clear to Jeremy that he is called to serve the Lord overseas. In preparation for this, Jeremy became a Journeyman electrician, worked as an English teacher in the Middle East, and is currently interning under his pastor at Trinity Baptist Church. In 2002 Jeremy saw his need for a helpmate to serve with him. He sought he Lord for a wife and God revealed the one created to be his life partner. On January 4, 2003 Jeremy took Amy Anderson as his bride. They are currently living in the Renton area and waiting for the Lord to lead them overseas.

As a surprise to his bride for their wedding, Jeremy wrote and recorded with Nathanael the song "Gift". For your pleasure it is included on Join 2 Sing, as a bonus song.

Nathanael Vossler

"Music has always been a major aspect of my life. It seems as though I am lost without something playing in the background. Believe it or not, music helps me to think better, and it even enables me to focus! But it doesn't begin or end there - music has always been a way of expressing myself - especially when it comes to praising and exalting my King and my God, creator of the universe and savior of my soul. But God is much more than that to me, he is my friend, and I have an incredibly intimate relationship with Him. When I am weak, He shows Himself to be strong - and when I am down, He is the lifter of my head! The least I can do for Him is to express my love through songs that lift up His Holy name, and inspire others to do the same." -Nathanael

One of the best outlets for Nathanael's desire to worship God has been singing with small groups and choirs through the years. Since his family is musically inclined, there always seemed to be one opportunity or another to fulfill this deep desire. Growing up, Nathanael participated in an array of musicals and cantatas. Due to the fact that his father was often the director, he enjoyed special privileges to join in with the 'adult' choir even when he was not "of age". In order to round out his experiences, he even sang with the men's barbershop chorus 'Northwest Sound' for a season. But ultimately, his favorite type of group is a small quartet. Singing with his buddies in the 'victory' quintet was his idea of a good time.

When Nathanael's eyes were opened to the endless possibilities that a hard disk recording system afforded, his focus shifted towards the concept of recording with Jeremy. Of course with the inroad Nathanael's brother provided as the owner of his own recording studio, they were able to experiment and mess around with ideas which turned into real dreams. Hours of hard work and much creativity on Jeremy's part resulted in the birth of the group 2Praise, and their first project: "Join 2 Sing."
